Hope everyone that went to CanAm has made it home safely. The trip to Indiana (whose state motto is "Repair NO Roads" and whose state symbol is the pothole!) was unforgettable. First in Flight couldn't have made a better showing at this big event. This recap is going to be long, so be patient. We usually go to tournaments with a points first, placement second attitude. Thanks everyone for a GREAT weekend of fun and flyball. I am very proud to be part of such a good group of people. Depsite being two dogs down, one who wasn't feeling well, the heat taking it's toll on dogs, and the many lineup shuffles, you all were a patient and adaptable team. Just wanted to thank a few people for their part in a great weekend of racing. First Dee and Twig, Marsha and Tammie for being with us this weekend on the open teams. Two great little dogs that we enjoy racing with.

What a fun, successful weekend we had! To begin with, the weather was gorgeous - a little windy perhaps, but gorgeous nontheless. The tent shifted in the wind and turned over the food table only once, and since the five second rule applied Becky was able to save almost everything. Racing went really well both days with no major problems and relatively few flags. Both teams placed; Full Throttle finished third and Flyers was first, winning 31 out of 42 heats. This is the first time in I don't know when that I made it home this early (5:00). So nice. Hope everyone made it home safely.
This was a very small tournament but oh so relaxing. Even though we didn't get to sit down for very long at a time since yesterday we helped NRR and today we helped them and PeAk. In return they filled in for us too, so it was a very nice tournament.

Our trip to Wilson this past weekend was quite an adventure. We arrived at the tournament venue, the Wilson Fairgrounds, in the late afternoon. It was a beautiful evening and we were able to put up tents, explore the racing building and surrounding territory and get in some Friday night racing.
